Were looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our European Plant Projects Organization (PPO). If youre passionate about delivering complex engineering projects that make a real impact, read on.

Role overview

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead small to mid-sized plant projects (up to $2M) across Southern Europe and CECA regions. From initial development through to execution, youll be at the helm of projects. You will ensure each project is delivered on time, on budget, and always with safety as a top priority. Your leadership will be the driving force behind successful, high-quality outcomes.

You will do this by:

• Lead full-cycle project execution - play a dual role from project development to project execution

• Execute plant projects across SE & CECA regions

• Report to management and stakeholders on project status.

• Ensuring operational excellence following company standards and procedures

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, business, operations, supply chain) and external contractors.

• Work closely with business area and line management to develop the opportunities and meet the requirements of the scope of supply.

• Own project performance: schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

What you will bring:

✔ Degree in Engineering and 5+ years experience in project execution (ideally in industrial gases or plant projects)

✔General technical knowledge across disciplines: process, machinery, electrical, and PICS.

✔Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading on safety, scope, cost, and scheduling

✔ Good interpersonal, organizing and coordinating skills

✔ A hands-on, structured approach with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills—internally and with customers

✔ Resilience, problem-solving mindset, and a drive to see projects through

✔ Willingness to travel: short site visits (1-3 days) and longer assignments (up to several weeks)

Nice to haves

➕ Experience with cryogenic or hydrogen systems

➕ Familiarity with SAP and AutoCAD
