Description Were currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Barcelona, Catalonia 08015 A lovely family in the Eixample neighborhood seeks an occasional babysitter for their two children, ages 2 and 6 years old, for an immediate start. Backup care is needed 1-3 times per month on Thursday or Friday evenings from 17:00 to 20:00. Both children are happy and enjoy playing ball, puzzles, and rugby. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the familys requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family typically provides several weeks notice prior to their backup care needs and is looking for an engaging and reliable sitter to join their family.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Length of Position: 6 months, possibility to extend
  • Schedule: Intermittent care - No guaranteed hours
    • Backup care is needed on Thursdays or Fridays, from 17:00 to 20:00
  • Compensation: €12 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Diaper changing/potty training assistance for 2 year old
  • Engaging with the children while mom works from home
  • Light housekeeping + laundry related to the children, as needed
  • Light meal prep for the children
Requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in Spain
  • Minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
  • Up-to-date on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to provide 2 childcare-related references
  • Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater
  • Has valid photo ID
  • Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
Compensation: This position pays €12 per hour, and the family is looking for intermittent care, as needed.
