The goal of the Product Owner is to represent the interest of the stakeholders in the product. The role is solely responsible for the product backlog and aims to maximize the product value by assigning the optimal priorities. The role closely collaborates with the development team and the Scrum Master and approves or rejects results. Responsibilities:

• Collects and understands the user requirements for the product, initiates their holistic discussion, ensures the alignment with the Software strategy and identifies epics and user stories
• Consults stakeholders during their creation of the User Requirements Documents (URDs), discusses design proposals with the technical lead and the development team and provides Functional Specification Documents (FSDs). Provides effort estimates, milestones and release dates and updates the product roadmap
• Review issues and add them to the backlog. Manages, grooms, and prioritizes the product backlog in alignment with the stakeholders aiming to maximize product value
• Proposes priorities, defines sprint scope, takes implementation decisions, and monitors progress. Reviews sprints together with the team and the stakeholders.
• Promotes the product globally, especially after releases and presents the project status in Technical Reviews
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & requirements

• A bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering or related education is required
• A masters degree in computer science, Engineering or related education is preferred
• An Agile Practitioner certification or related experience is preferred
• A Scrum Product Owner certification or related experience is preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product owner or Agile Project Manager is required
• A minimum of 2 years as an agile Software Developer is preferred
• Must be proficient in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in spoken and written German is preferred
