About the business

We are pursuing a transformative strategy agenda called "Positive Motion," focused on greening our revenue sources and fostering sustainable growth. As part of this vision, our Value Architect is pivotal in maximizing the total value generated across all Moeve's operations. Join our Commercial Integration Team and act as the strategic link aligning objectives and enabling agile, data-driven decisions that maximize global impact across the organization.

We are seeking exceptional talent to join our Commercial Integration Team, reporting to the Portfolio Integration Leader within the Trading organization. In this role, you will identify, define, operate, and scale strategies and processes to maximize end-to-end (E2E) value creation. This involves serving markets and customers while ensuring alignment with production, supply, and logistics capacities and constraints—all with an unwavering commitment to integrity and safety.

The responsibilities we´ll trust you with

  • Define the decisions to assess and the analysis required to support the development of optimal E2E plans (e.g., make vs. buy vs. blend).
  • Provide guidance to support E2E optimization, accounting for production, supply, and logistics capacities and constraints. This includes removing bottlenecks, defining scenarios for linear programming (LP), validating alternative supply options, and reviewing analysis outcomes.
  • Validate key elements such as price signals, asset planner boundary conditions, and risk management needs, and share insights with relevant teams.
  • Coordinate interactions and collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Validate rankings of potential solutions to address supply-demand mismatches or exploit optimization opportunities, determining the best course of action.
  • Ensure the availability of accurate data and timely development of plans to support decision-making.
  • Facilitate E2E case delivery by removing bottlenecks, enhancing cross-BU collaboration, reviewing roadmaps, and ensuring the alUbicación of necessary resources.

What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree in a technical field (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or an economic/commercial discipline (e.g., Business, Logistics, Economics). Advanced degrees, such as a Master's in Refining or an MBA, are highly valued.
  • Solid knowledge of physical and financial trading markets (crude, products, freight, derivatives), including price formation, hedging, and risk management principles.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with expertise in both Refining and Trading (preferably with a focus on planning).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the E2E value chain, including refining planning and operations, logistics optimization, basic trading concepts (e.g., risk management, pricing, optionality), and commercial strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of pricing dynamics and their impact across the value chain.
  • Understanding of financial principles to support impact calculations and business case validation.

Competencies:

  • Analytically inclined with high energy, able to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Passionate about trading and financial markets, with a strong commercial mindset applied to value chain decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across technical and commercial teams.
  • Collaborative team player thriving in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Effective relationship builder with a focus on alignment and business impact.
  • Self-starter with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planner and organizer, working towards ambitious targets.
  • Commercially astute with a strong sense of ownership over E2E value creation.

Even if you don't perfectly match all the job requirements listed in the job posting, we still encourage you to apply. Your unique skills, experiences, and perspectives could be valuable assets to our team, and we welcome the opportunity to consider your candidacy.
