Senior Data Platform Engineer Madrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from Inicio Join Our Data Team at Ebury Madrid Office. Eburys strategic growth plan would not be possible without our Data team and we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team! Our mission is to develop maintain and improve Eburys Data Platform with a focus on building scalable, robust, and innovative frameworks. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the rest of the team to help develop and improve the Data Platform. What we offer: - Competitive salary and benefits package - Discretionary bonus based on performance - Continued personal development through training and certification - We are Open Source friendly, following Open Source principles in our internal projects and encouraging contributions to external projects Responsibilities: - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data platform to be consumed across the Empresa - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights - Drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities - Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and security About you: - Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation - Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets, as well as experience working with structured and unstructured data sources - Data engineering and modelling skills such as slowly changing dimensions and dimensional modelling - Graph database modelling encouraged - Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms, including designing and implementing data solutions at scale - Self-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, continuously improving both technical and business skills - Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) tools and services, such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions - Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus) If youre excited about this job opportunity but your background doesnt match exactly the requirements in the job description, we strongly encourage you to apply anyway.
