Do you want to push boundaries at the heart of Airbus together with a team in Flight Physics? We want to pave the way into a more digital, sustainable and safer future. Flight Physics is responsible for the design and characterization for all Air Power programs along their product life cycle. We use numerical simulations and testing to understand the aircraft behaviour and to create and deliver aircraft representative data for flight performance, aerodynamics, structural dynamics, mass properties, acoustics and vibration. A vacancy for a \"Transverse Flight Physics Senior Capabilities & High Performance Computing Engineer\" (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Flight Physics. This area within Flight Physics Centre of Competence (CoC) is a German-Spanish engineering organisation in Airbus Defence and Space - Aircraft and Systems. The organisation is responsible for the flight physics deliverables for all Airbus Air Power programmes and digitalization & technology. In this role you will join the Digitalisation & Technology team and apply your knowledge and experience in process, methods and tool development to push Flight Physics capabilities to the Sig level of digitalisation. With this, the job holder contributes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of Flight Physics CoC established in the Flight Physics Technology and Digital strategies. Support and perform technologies, process, methods and tool developments within Flight Physics in close collaboration with the technical domains Implementation of common transverse multidisciplinary high fidelity environment and optimization of the deployment on different high performance computing platforms. Enable and optimize high fidelity multidisciplinary analysis and optimzation across the full flight physics workflows through efficient platform set up Develop, prove, validate and deploy disruptive ways of solving problems in flight physics with a holistic approach. University degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent. At least 3 years professional experience in programming & data science in development and engineering areas Applied skills in Python and C++ and state-of -the art data science frameworks Previous experience in Machine learning modeling for Engineering applications would be a plus Previous experience with front end and database development would be a plus Previous experience on CFD & FEM would be a plus Previous experience on High Performance Computing and Linux server administration would be a plus Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking Permanent ------- Flight & Space Physics By submitting your CV or application you are consenting to Airbus using and storing information about you for monitoring purposes relating to your application or future employment.
