Mar Recruitment & Consulting, a specialized consultancy within the maritime and logistics sector, is currently seeking a RIGGER for a Puesto based in Mallorca, to join a leading international marine services provider specialized in the maintenance and repair of sailing yachts and superyachts.

Your mission:

As a Rigger you will be responsible for stepping and commissioning a variety of projects from superyachts to race yachts and expected to deliver the highest standards within the marine industry. Rigging, sailing, practical maintenance of masts and booms will be your primary roles. To get your goals, you will work together with an experienced team of Project Managers, other Riggers, Designers, Contractors and Mast Technicians.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To keep up to date with all project communication with the ability to provide knowledgeable input when necessary.
  • To identify customer needs and propose to fulfil them with the appropriate Empresa services or products.
  • To contribute to the development of technical and practical solutions.
  • To be able to communicate effectively with all parties involved within the project.
  • To understand project budgets and contribute to the development of project timeline, estimates and proposal.
  • To liaise on multiple international projects and stakeholders.

Technical skills:

  • Around 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Professional sailing experience or working as shore crew.
  • Experience with carbon fibre products, mechanical works and understanding of hydraulics/electrical systems will be an advantage.
  • University Degree or related. Proficiency level of English.
  • Driving license.

Personal skills:

  • You are a highly motivated person and ethically performance driven.
  • You will show your leadership skills while managing projects.
  • You will stay focused and show your organizational skills while working under pressure.
  • You are a problem-solving person and will keep a can-do attitude in your daily tasks.
  • You have good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to travel up to 70% of the time.
