Job purpose:As a Senior Accountant you would lead the month‑end closing for a specific European region, manage General Ledger activities, and driving process improvements across all accounting areas.
Responsibilities:- Execute and oversee month‑end closings.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory accounting.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders and provide updates.
- Support and guide junior accountants within the team.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Work with SAP and Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with the wider European accounting teams.
- Maintain high performance during the 5‑day closing period.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:- Strong background in accounting.
- Excellent command of Excel (advanced level).
- Experience with SAP.
- High level of English (mandatory).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Proactive mindset with interest in process improvement and optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure during closing periods.
- Team‑oriented, supportive, and willing to mentor junior colleagues.
- Clear communication skills and confidence in stakeholder interactions.
