Cloud Platform and Data Engineer with Machine Learning Expertise

We are seeking a Cloud Platform and Data Engineer with expertise in Machine Learning to design and implement AWS cloud solutions using services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ECS. The role involves optimizing cloud resources for performance, cost, and security. You will develop infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, collaborate with software engineers to deploy and manage platform services and microservices on AWS, and ensure the high availability and reliability of platform systems.

In addition, you will build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to integrate and transform data from various sources, implement data storage solutions using AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Snowflake, and Athena, and ensure data quality throughout its lifecycle. Leveraging Databricks for scalable data processing and analytics, you will develop and maintain machine learning models, working with teams to clean, process, and validate data for model training and implementing machine learning pipelines.

As part of your role, you will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, stay updated with evolving AWS, data engineering, and machine learning technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement through code reviews and best practices.

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
3. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
4. Strong experience with data engineering tools and frameworks.
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
6. Experience with machine learning tools and frameworks.
7. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
8. Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data certification.
9. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
10. Knowledge of big data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
11. Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
12. OpenShift experience is desired.
13. Spanish language skills are a plus.
