Job Description Summary:
The Systems Integration Leader is a cross-functional engineering function centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that coner both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of proing an innovative quality product that meets the end users need.
As a Systems Integration Leader (SIL), you will be responsible for the major structuralponents of Haliade-X offshore platform in the central block,prising the central frame, tower upper section, yaw system and platforms.
In this role, you will contribute to defining and executing the design schedule for theponents and assemblies within this block and ensure that the activities are planned in detail to deliver top quality design for the different project milestones. You will nurture the synergies between the engineering design team and other functions by liaising with stakeholders in teams like Supply Chain, Chief Engineering Office, EHS, Operations, Program Management, Scheduling and Resource Managers.
You will contribute to enforcing the Safety-Quality-Cost-Delivery value stream, ensuring that all new designs arepliant with this sequence and you will lead the timely delivery of internal and external engineering documentation: DFMEAs, Design Memos, Certification documents, etc.

Responsibilities include:
- Conductponent and product integration. All activities that span multipleponents and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.
- Full ownership and accountability of block interfaces, ensuring that they are appropriately defined and documented both with other blocks and with the general specification of the wind turbine.
- Perform Engineering Excellence and proe innovative design solutions to deliver world class quality.
- Set daily requirements and tasks for the indiual contributors (Daily Management System).
- Proposeeas to achieve sub-system main design CTQ’s such as cost, performance, and weight while ensuring quality of deliverables, on time delivery, design cost, DFMEA, performance and availability.
- Ensure full integrated solutions, conering all mechanical and electrical interfaces that interact with central block.
- Support trade-off and conceptual discussions for sub-system level design integrated into the whole product.
- Ensure proper design reviews and documentation quality according to RE-120 Instruction and defined project gates both by owning technical reviews and ging others into the process.
- Functional leadership of transversal team (product definition engineer, FEA analysis engineers…)
- Contribute and review technical documents produced by the team: drawings, design review presentations, sub-system specifications, design practices, technical instructions, and related technical topics affecting on time delivery and first-time yield.
- Support on Product safety and EHS reviews.
- Demonstrate effective risk mitigation and technical problem solving.
- Drive simplification and standardization of best practices across platforms for the rear frame
- Work within the gelines of applicable GE Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, Commercial Standards, best practices, and special safety requirements.
- Support and coordinate with interfacing teams located in different countries within the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in an Engineering or related discipline. Preferably mechanical. Professional formation would be acceptable by proing successful experience record.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in wind turbine nacelle design and development, preferably in central block assembly.
- Minimum 8 years proven technology and/or product management experience.
- Proven expertise in design of welded, casted and bolted heavy structure, subjected to fatigue loading; proven experience in design for manufacturing, design to cost, GD&T.
- Knowledge of calculation methods related to the strength of materials and weldedponents. Finite element simulation. Metallurgy, welding processes and NDT are added values for the job.
- Knowledge of Standards and Design Codes (DNV-GL geline, Eurocode, IIW, VDI-2230).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Demonstrated system thinking ability to assess tradeoffs, effectively assess risk, and optimize results.
- Demonstrated ability to work horizontally across stakeholders to influence oues.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ownership, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player,munication skills and ability to develop relationships.
- Experience as functional team leader coordinating workload and engineering resources.
Desired Characteristics:
- Wind industry expertise with proven results developing & implementing technology programs.
- Wind turbine Machine Head and relatedponent technical and business expertise.
- Experience in design of offshore structure conered as a plus.
- Business acumen and customer focus.
- Experience as Design Engineer (DE) for wind turbineponents or modules.
- Proven experience in GE’s Product Definition environment (NX, PLM) and ECO execution process
- Manufacturing processes knowledge.
