Siemens PTI (Power Technologies International) is currently experiencing an increased growth in the demand of power system services, both from internal projects and from external customers, and searches for qualified people with expertise in system analysis. PTI proes system analysis related to electrical installations for power from wind and solar power plants to production facilities for electrical transmission, distribution and industrialworks as well as electrical installations on ships and offshore platforms. Knowledge is expected for one or more of these systems. Siemens PTI seeks personnel with expertise focus in dynamic analysis and modelling (RMS and EMT studies), scripting and power quality analysis. The positions will involve the use of power system software such as PSS®E and PSS®Sincal, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, etc....

What are my responsibilities?

• Working alonge an international team of engineers.
• Contributing to the achievement of the team’s objectives.
• The canate shall be able to execute highly skilled studies in the area of load flow, short-circuit, harmonic analysis, dynamics and transient simulations.
• Carry out g connection and g codepliance studies.
• Come up with innovative solutions for powerworks: Feasibility studies, contingency analysis and assets development.
• Create technical reports and support the client.
• Support the sales and marketing area.

What do I need to qualify for this role?

• So technical knowledge on power system analysis.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in the power systems field.
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, and English. Further languages will be a plus.
• Experience in managing power system projects.
• Academic background such as paper and patent publications will be conered.
• Experience in dealing with customers.
• Sound knowledge of power system analysis tools such as PSS®E, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, PSCAD, PSS®SINCAL, MATLAB, etc… Both in the static and dynamic domains.
