We are expanding our teams in the space sector to take on flight dynamics projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you will develop your Master Thesis in the field of low-thrust optimization. During the last years, GMV has been developing and testing several strategies for low-thrust optimization, applied to various orbital regimes (mainly GEO, GTO and MEO) and operational phases (mainly orbit raising and station keeping). This internship will continue these developments, using as a case study one of GMVs various projects in this field, particularly with Galileo 2nd Generation. The main function will be the application and validation of new advanced methods. Depending on the final case, this may consist of:
- Exploration of new optimization methods/algorithms.
- Improvement and addition of new functionalities to current algorithms.
- Hybridization of current algorithms to improve efficiency.
- Optimization of the attitude for an optimal trajectory - Optimization of the attitude for an optimal trajectory -
- Optimization of the attitude for an optimal trajectory
- Application of existing algorithm to specific problems (e.g., slot relocation, station keeping).
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
for this position, we are looking for engineering master students with a background and interest in flight dynamics. We also value knowledge of:
- FORTRAN 90, C++ and Python programming.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics and physics
- Orbital mechanics
