Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role The Integration Engineer intern will be part of the Global Merchant Services Enterprise Integrations (GMS.EI) team and will work with internal and external client groups to drive world-class buying experiences through PayPal by providing product expertise and implementation consultancy for top-tier businesses and partners. Job Description:

Your way to Impact

You will be supporting some of the largest merchant in EMEA, many with a global presence, to integrate our ecommerce platform features into their systems, solving operational pain-points and driving improvements to help their business’ grow. You will be partnering with internal teams, such as Sales and Customer Success, to help the business unit meet its revenue targets. You will act as the voice of the customer to drive continual improvement to our products and processes.

Your day to day

  • Interact directly with our clients, merchants, partners and developers to recognize and articulate business requirements and how best to implement our PayPal solutions, while adhering to PayPal guidelines and company policies.
  • Act as main technical point of contact for all implementation-related activities throughout the integration effort. Facilitate setting up test accounts, provide technical development and coding support, and guide the client through testing and pre-launch activities.
  • Be the “Voice of the Customer” and relay constructive feedback to Product Managers, Engineering, Technology and other internal groups on ease of use and new functionality. Work with internal teams on any required feature enhancements or to address any solution gaps.
  • Work in partnership with Solution Engineers and Solution Architects to integrate proposed PayPal solutions into the client commerce platforms.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Risk, Payments, etc. to address specific customer business requirements or new product features.
  • Work closely with internal teams including compliance, privacy, risk, information security, support and operations to ensure all aspects of a merchant launch are managed
  • Identify and define integration specific best practices
  • Ensure partners implement optimal integration strategies, techniques and user experience best practices

What do you need to bring-

  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript).
  • Fluent in English & one of the following languages: Spanish, French, Italian.
  • Good team player with collaborative approach and ability to forge constructive relationships quickly. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education required:
    • Studying a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject
    • Available to start on a 6-month full time basis from January 2024
