THE ROLE

The Global Benefits leader is responsible for the ongoing strategy, analysis, administration, complex issue resolution, and communication of Eventbrite’s benefits plans.

You will develop programs designed to keep employees informed about company benefit plans and any proposed changes, ensuring programs are current with regard to trends, practices, and costs. This individual will negotiate coverage, services, and costs with carriers and brokers. Interacting with others in areas, such as the risk management or legal departments, to investigate innovative programs (e.g., self-insurance) to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk to the company, and legal implications.

This role reports to the VP, Global Total Rewards and can be based remotely in Spain.

YOU WILL
  • IImplement, administer, and/or communicate global benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary programs, wellness, EAP, pension, leave of absence, time-off, etc. for our Britelings around the globe
  • Lead annual renewals for all countries, including HR system administration, data accuracy of benefit information, event planning, communications, etc
  • Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers and vendors to ensure timely customer service and accurate cost-effective plan administration
  • Ensure plan compliance with regulatory filings, notices, plan audits, non-discrimination testing, etc
  • Ensure the reliability, accuracy and security of the benefit data used for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Review and reconcile monthly premium billings
  • Research and evaluate company benefits in order to recommend improvements and new programs to strengthen the overall plan design
  • Ensure benefit plan documentation, contracts and amendments are in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Identify strategies to improve employee communication, education regarding the benefit programs and ongoing marketing of Eventbrite Benefits to Britelings
  • Develop and implement progressive and innovative programs which promote employee health and wellness
  • Be responsible for managing, leading, and growing a team, fostering cross-team collaboration for achieving collective goals
THE SKILL SET
  • Experience running global and large-scale benefits programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in our global markets (including but not limited to Spain, India, Argentina, Australia, UK & Ireland) and ability to establish and maintain compliance of all plans and programs
  • Extensive knowledge of leaves of absence and experience administering leaves of absence
  • Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality
  • Develops, modifies and executes policies that affect immediate organization
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ensures adherence to budgets, work plans and performance requirements
  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of the business on complex benefits concepts, in a digestible manner
