Role Overview: A fantastic opportunity to join McAfee in an influential role as Strategic Sourcing Manager (Non-Technology) covering Marketing, People Success (HR), and other corporate services. This role sits within the Strategic Sourcing team within our Global Procurement Services (GPS). Reporting to the Marketing Category Lead who has the responsibility to manage third-party supplier spend of c.$80m per annum across c. 60 suppliers. We are seeking a highly motivated person who will be the Sourcing Lead, supporting all Marketing subcategories including but not limited to media, agency, advertising, market research, sales/promotion services, and market data/analytics. This role in deep collaboration with the Marketing and other Category leads will partner with Marketing, HR, and corporate services business stakeholders to identify and execute on objectives and business needs as a trusted business partner. This is a remote position in Spain. We will only consider candidates currently in Spain and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement robust sourcing strategies partnering with multiple business partners across Marketing, People Success (HR), and corporate services to identify and leverage synergies in value creation, supplier relationship management, sourcing events, and contracting.
  • Utilize best practices for effective and best-in-class competitive bidding, contract planning and negotiation, supplier management, and value creation identification.
  • Effectively execute multi-year category strategies to deliver on category objectives and goals.
  • Act as a contributor to category/functional sourcing strategy and supplier selection.
  • Build and foster strategic supplier relationships utilizing supplier segmentation, spend analytics, and market insights.
  • Implement a partnership engagement model to influence and support business strategy leveraging market insights and aligning sourcing and category strategies.
  • Frame and drive cross-functional sourcing agenda as well as alignment between category strategy and the needs and requirements of regions, countries, and sites.
  • Champion a project portfolio pipeline of savings and value creation plans in alignment with category strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in sourcing processes, tools, and operating models and develop team capabilities with full utilization of category, sourcing, and contract management.
  • Serve as a thought partner and actively challenge work to deploy the most comprehensive and creative solutions; remove barriers for the team to ensure its ability to execute.
  • Develop and execute procurement and contract strategies with a strong understanding of the related category of spend commercial and business terms.
  • Negotiate deals on master service/goods agreements, work orders, and statement of works templates collaborating with Legal and business partners.
  • Challenge current practice, seek alternative options, and challenge convention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely management of information to enable organization assessment of Category performance.
  • Delivering value creation through total cost of ownership approaches.

About You:

  • 5-8+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience in Marketing and Corporate Services (HR) services sourcing and contract negotiations.
  • Expected to bring immediate creditability to the position by having in-depth knowledge of the Marketing category with market intelligence and direct domain expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and utilizing a full set of marketing and sales levers to drive value for stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of the market or external forces shaping an operations business context (e.g. supplier base, legal and regulatory environment, sources of competitive advantage)
  • Detailed knowledge of existing Marketing and Professional Services cost models whilst also having the ability to develop innovative commercial models that align with the needs of the business.
  • Ability to conduct benchmarking to address cost, quality, risk, and innovation considerations as well as to provide thought leadership and actively shape strategy.
  • Ability to own and strengthen relationships with key customers and to champion change.
  • Excellent and proven communication and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to mark up contracts to agreed templates and fall-back positions.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced and innovative business environment.
  • Experience in eSourcing and eAuctions techniques utilizing Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, or other similar procurement systems.
  • English proficiency is a must and only applications submitted in English will be considered.
  • CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP are a plus but not necessary.
