About this role

The Infrastructure Operations Team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the global network, storage and compute infrastructure across all sites, ensuring an extraordinary service is delivered for our partners, ensuring all standards, SLA’s & requirements are met for the business.

This represents a superb opportunity for an Infrastructure operations leader who still wants to maintain a technical element to their role.

You will

• Lead the Infrastructure & Operations Team to achieve key results - be responsible for the overall success

• Work with the team on a daily basis, focusing on their talents and strengths - ensuring they are performing well, are growing, and engaged - empower, coach and mentor them, when needed; create an inspiring, cooperative and efficient agile work environment

• Define, implement and improve the IT technical and operational environment for the company, both internal and outsourced, to ensure the solutions delivered meet business needs

• Capacity planning and cost control and forecasting from cloud/datacenter operations perspective

• Scalability, redundancy, performance and compliance/IT security are key elements in the operation and continuous development of our services.

• Develop infrastructure processes, documentation and policies, execute locally, apply IT strategy & lead change. Work multi-functionally with other Infrastructure and technology teams across the organisation

• Living in Madrid is mandatory

What We Are Looking For

• We are looking for an experienced manager for our Infrastructure & Operations Team. In your new role, you would be responsible for ensuring the high quality of the team’s work, and their professional growth. The team is responsible for maintaining the whole infrastructure of our cloud platform.

• Strong business acumen and a working knowledge of Infrastructure Operations and Technology functions and processes.

• Leadership abilities: with a track record of empowering direct & remote teams to perform at a high level

• Experience in virtualization and cloud hosting with an understanding of cloud technologies and compute environment.

• The ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities with an appreciation and understanding of ITIL Service Management methodologies.

• Extensive experience in root cause analysis in complex system and network infrastructures and owning incidents/problems through to resolution

• Open minded for new ideas and technologies.

• Recording and controlling based on technical KPIs such as availability, resource utilization and throughput/performance.

• Reporting, budget & staff planning, participation in audits.
