About the role

First things first: you want to know what youre actually applying for. Its impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

This is a pivotal role for Mews as we enter the next phase of our high-growth journey. Our People function is maturing and growing alongside the business, so you should be comfortable designing new processes, listening to feedback from our internal customers and being part of cross-functional working groups. You should also have experience positioning a company as a thought leader in their space. Youll receive high-level objectives from the leadership team and must figure out with your team how to accomplish those objectives using knowledge, data and experience.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Employee Relations Management. Be an expert in industry best practices around functional areas of new trends and opportunities to constantly raise the bar on people deliverables.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management. Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits and development activity.
  • Learning & Development: Work closely with the L&D Manager, support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs.
  • Management & People Data Analysis. Demonstrate very strong analytical capabilities and influence business leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention and the employee experience.
  • People Team Programs Design & Execution. Develop and own the delivery of the strategic people related plans for each Mews business leader, ensuring consistency with the People Team key objectives and goals & enforce consistency with our policies & procedures.
  • Champion collaborative cross functional relationships Ensure alignment of People related programs by partnering with fellow Mewsers (peers and colleagues).

Youll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • You are comfortable leading and working on complex cross-functional projects with multiple partners, including experience working internationally (opening new countries).
  • Experience of operating as a strategic HR Business Partner with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a high volume, fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience at all levels of an organization.
  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
  • Knowledge of International labor legislation (EU legislation preferred) and practical application of International labour law practices is preferred.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
