We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior Android Engineer (m/f/d) for our Driver Experience In Trip Team.
Youll be an integral member of a highly skilled, diverse cross-functional team, boasting 2 iOS Engineers, 3 BE Engineers, 2 Android Engineers, a Product Manager, Researcher, Designer, all led by a technical Engineering Manager. Our collective focus is a critical segment of the Booking funnel, vital from the Drivers standpoint: encompassing accepting bookings, enhancing in-trip experiences, and managing payments. This pivotal role holds the power to make a remarkable impact on the lives of countless individuals, solidifying its significance within our company.

To be successful in this role you:- Have advanced understanding of modern Android architecture
- Anticipate the challenges ahead: crafting unique, delightful, and sustainable urban mobility experiences by actively participating in all stages of product development.
- Are a disruptor! Question the status quo and seek innovative solutions, pushing for a superior product through a cutting-edge codebase, all while fostering an exceptional team experience.
- Are proficient at reading and writing concise technical documentation
- Show expertise in monitoring the app in production environment and reacting to problems
- Refine projects through insightful code reviews and provide constructive, high-quality feedback.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other platforms—Backend, iOS—contributing to cohesive interfaces that exemplify teamwork and excellence.
- Are familiar with advanced debugging techniques (heap dump analysis etc.)
Tools and frameworks you should be proficient in: Kotlin, Android Studio, creating complex UI with XML or Jetpack Compose, Jetpack libraries, Unit and UI testing, Git, reactive framework (e.g. Coroutines/RxJava).
