Description
The Office Print Global Marketing organization is on a mission to hire a seasoned and dynamic Marketing Segment Strategy Lead with demonstrated in-depth expertise and passion for B2B programs.
The ideal candidate is someone who cuts through the noise. A strategic communicator, who champions powerful messages, sees the big picture, and crafts distinctive segment strategies. This person communicates for action and is driven by transformative impact. Skilled at influencing and does everything with excellence and expect the same from peers.
The Marketing Segment Strategy Lead will develop and execute segment marketing (and co-marketing) programs, using a strong mix of skills and abilities including segment trend analysis, strategic content creation (with strong emphasis on effective storytelling) and cross-functional marketing collaboration (brand, performance marketing, go-to-market, product, etc.) to achieve shared strategic objectives. The role requires deep understanding of the needs and expectations of commercial audiences in a specific segment (e.g., Print Security), as well as awareness of industry and market trends. Knowledge and previous experience working with Print Security is a big plus.

Marketing Segment Strategy Lead
Understand macro trends and industry specific trends specific to the segment and translate relevant insights into effective customer facing narratives.
Develop and execute result-driven segment marketing (and co-marketing) programs, consistently achieving ambitious goals.
Generate a constant flow of innovative ideas to boost lead generation through various channels such as website optimization, SEO, media and analyst houses partnerships, and more.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
Anticipate and reflect on market and segment trends; write insightful marketing content and programs that will resonate with target audience.
Develop and deliver segment specific content (playbooks) with the goal to drive measurable impact.
Identify key acquisition, cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and determine the most viable channel mix to maximize opportunity for success.
Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams (brand, performance marketing, go-to-market, product, etc.) to achieve shared strategic objectives.
Plan and execute a successful roadmap of thought leadership editorial.
Assess our products and solutions against competition, and when possible, test concepts with existing customers.
Identify valuable industry events / governing bodies and work HP’s participation as part of the segment narrative roadmap.
Build relevant segment/customer stories.
Type of Experience Needed
- 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Communications with at least 3 years of experience in B2B.
- Prior experience in Print Security and technology highly valued.
- Structured approach combined with strong creative acumen.
- Genuine love for marketing and technology, coupled with a curiosity for new developments and opportunities in the field.
- In-depth understanding of segment trends and established contacts with industry relevant media / analyst groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Experience with managing budgets and external providers.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and speed to market.
- Understanding of the importance of timely execution and urgency in achieving marketing objectives.
- Metrics - driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
- Flexibility and the ability to pivot when changes occur rapidly.
- Desire to grow professionally through ongoing education.
Education
- BA in Marketing & Communications or related field, MBA or similar preferred.
