Purpose of the role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cybersecurity graduate Intern, with a focus on providing support in the field of cybersecurity and privacy for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity and be eager to learn from our experienced cybersecurity experts.
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our medical devices, working closely with our team to identify and address potential vulnerabilities. You will also assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures, and participate in security assessments of our medical systems and devices. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of cybersecurity and contribute to the safety and security of medical devices.
How would your day to day look like?
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in implementing and monitoring cybersecurity and privacy controls for medical devices
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of medical devices
- Assist in developing and reviewing cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team members to analyze and interpret cybersecurity data
- Assist in evaluating and implementing security technologies and solutions
- Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
Youll have the opportunity to work with a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including secure software development tools, network security scanners, and vulnerability assessment tools. Youll be an active participant in producing various deliverables, such as security risk assessments, threat models, and security incident reports, to help maintain and enhance the cybersecurity posture of our medical devices. Youll interact closely with our cybersecurity and engineering teams to ensure that our devices meet the highest standards of security and privacy, and youll have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments, such as legal and regulatory compliance, to stay up-to-date on the latest industry regulations and standards. Some challenges you may encounter include balancing competing priorities, staying up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, and adapting to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. However, with the support of our experienced cybersecurity team, youll have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge and make a meaningful contribution to our mission of protecting patient and medical data.
Who are you?
Recent graduate (max 3 years after graduation) in the fields of Informatics, Telecommunications and Computer Science.
Skills that may be necessary for the Cybersecurity graduate iIntern position:
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies
Familiarity with security assessment tools and methodologies
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java
Understanding of cloud computing platforms and security considerations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools
